Sunday 18th July 2010, Taking only Ash to Peterbourgh Open Show, we had a last minute change of judge for our breed
Ash won the Junior class, then onto win 'Best of Breed and the icing on the cake he won Gundog Group 2
Sunday 11th July 2010, This time a local show only a couple of hours up the road! Another very hot day. Ash had a super day, winning the Junior and Graduate classes, and also winning the Junior Stakes the added bonus was winning £50!
Harvey was placed 4th in Open and Jazz who was in Limit for the first time won a VHC
On 26th June 2010, we made a long trip to Blackpool, on a very very hot day. Ash had a lovely day winning the Junior class and coming 2nd in the Graduate class. To top it all he won a 4th place in the 'Petplan Junior Stakes'
Our new puppy 'Meadowdale Bumble Bee', aka 'Bee', has just had her DNA test results back, and she is:
CLEAR for PRA (cord1) and Fucosidosis
This is great news as very few working type springers are tested.
Head shot of 'Bee' at 10 weeks old - Bless!
Saturday 19th June, what a cold, wet and windy day. But Ash and I head off to the Newmarket 2 day Open show.
Delighted when he was awarded 'Best of Breed' under judge Jim Richardson (Darrochonna), The he won the Gundog Group under judge Ben Bennet (Jesham) and then won 'BEST IN SHOW' Day 1 under judge Mr Ken Bartlett (Dwilencia)
I have to go back to Newmarket tomorrow to challenge for 'Supreme BIS' against the BIS day 2 winner!
On day 2 of the show, Ash wins 'Reserve Supreme Best In Show'
Some good news on the health front, we have had Ash's hip score back and he is 4:4=8.
His sister Eula was hip scored at the same time and is a total of 10
Both well below the breed average
Sunday 13th June 2010, taking Ash, Harvey, Jazz and Flora meeting up with Lesley for the long drive north, who was showing Eula and Isla we head off to the Northern ESS Championship Show.
It was a horrible drizzly rain all day with the odd heavy shower! And we showed outside!
We had a fantastic day, Ash was entered in a 'zillion' classes well 5 actually, and he won all 5 classes, which gave him the last few points needed for his 'Junior Warrant' Delighted when he was shortisted down to the last 4 for the 'top awards'
Eula (Ash's sister) also did fantastically, winning 2 classes and 2nd in 2 other very strong classes. These 2 wins also gave Eula the last points needed for her ;Junior Warrant'
How good is that, litter brother and sister gaining thier JW on the same day at the same show.
The others were respectably placed also, but the stars of the day were Ash (Woodspa Ash of Meadowdale JW) and Eula (Woodspa Eucalyptus JW)
Above Eula (left) and Ash (Right) at the Northern ESSS, both gaining thier 'Junior Warrants'
A wonderful day at a local Open Show on Saturday 12th June2010. Taking only Ash, he was entered into Special Yearling and Open, delighted when he won both classes and was declared 'Best of Breed'
He then went onto win the Gundog Group the judge for the breed and the Group was Mrs Jean Taylor (Olyjen).
So pleased when at only just 15 months he won 'Best In Show' under judge Mr S Bardwell (Stewell)
