Newmarket 2 day Open Show

20th June 2009, I head off with Harvey and Ginny to Ely, for the Newmarket 2 day Open Show. Ginny wins 'Best Puppy in Breed'

and Harvey wins 'Best of Breed'.

In the Gundog Group, Harvey takes the top spot, and then wins 'Best in Show' for day 2. He then goes onto win 'Reserve Best in Show' overall.

Ginny also does well, by winning Puppy Group 3

On the 5th June 2009, Harvey, Ginny and I head off to Southern Counties Championship Show.

Ginny delighted us, at her very first show by winning 'Best Puppy Bitch' (photo right)

Harvey Had a lovely win in the 'Open Stakes' by coming second

And his son Arthur (Meadowdale Alabama Slammer - Ginny's brother), won 2nd in the 'Puppy Dog Stakes', in a huge class - well done Jenny and Arthur.

Scottish Championship Show

Well, what a day we had! - 15th May 2009

Left home at Midnight on Thurday and arrived at Edinburgh at 8am Friday. Taking Harvey and Rosie.

Arthur (Meadowdale Alabama Slammer) was in Minor Puppy which he won, and going on to win 'Best Puppy Dog'

Harvey was in Limit, I was delight when he was placed 1st in this strong class.

Going back into the Dog challenge, Harvey was awarded the DCC and onto win BOB, he was also shortlisted in the Gundog Group - what a super win

Evie (Meadowdale Margarita at Ketsby) won Minor Puppy bitch and was again awarded 'Best Puppy BItch' then having to compete against Arthur for 'Best Puppy' Evie winning this encounter

Finally Rosie won a 2nd place in Open bitch, another lovely placing.

Birmingham Championship Show

What a lovely day for the Meadowdale Gang at Birmingham on 8th May 2009.

First off in the ring was Arthur 'Meadowdale Alabama Slammer' was shown in Minor Puppy Dog, and won 2nd. He also got shortlisted down to the last few in the puppy dog stakes - Well Done Arthur and Jenny

Then Harvey was shown in Limit for the first time. Now up with the 'big boys'! This was the biggest class of the day. Delighted when Harvey was given 1st place.

Next up was Evie 'Meadowdale Margarita at Ketsby', (daughter of Harvey & Pru and sister to Arthur) what a little superstar, winning Minor Puppy Bitch and going on to win: 'Best Puppy in Breed', Well done Evie and Angie.

Polly 'Meadowdale Venus at Cassapple' was 2nd in Graduate.

Lastly our Fay was 2nd in Open bitch

WELKS Championship Show

On 26th April 2009, Harvey and Fay went to WELKS Championship Show.

What a wonderful day we had. Harvey won the Yearling class, and went onto win the RCC

Fay was in Open bitch, which she won, and she also went onto win the RCC

Harvey's daughter was being shown at a Championship Show for the first time (Meadowdale Margarita at Ketsby), and won a 2nd place in the Minor Puppy Bitch class (photo below) - well done Evie.

Southern English Springer Spaniel Championship Show

On the 21st February 2009, Harvey, Rosie and I went off to the Southern ESS Championship Show.

Harvey won the 'Yearling' Class, and Rosie delighted us by winning a 3rd place in 'Open', and gaining her stud book number.

Harvey was also presented with the prestigous 'Jean Taylor' special award of 'Runner up Top Puppy' for 2008 in the UK

On the 7th February 2009, I travelled to the 'Isle of Ely' Open show. Our judge was Geoff Cunliffe (Fallenleaf). Rosie (Meadowdale Rosemary) won the Post Graduate class and Harvey won the Open class. Rosie shone through to win BOB.

In the group ring our judge was Ernie Lockett (Fayemm) and he awarded Rosie 'Gundog Group 3'

Boston Championship Show

On 9th January 2009, I travel to Newark with Harvey and Rosie to go to Boston Championship Show.

What a wonderful day we had. Harvey won the Junior Dog class, then went onto win 'Reserve Best Dog, Behind the eventual BOB, and Gundog Gp1

Then took Rosie into the Open Bitch Class, which she won and went onto win 'Best Bitch' and 'Best Opposite Sex. Rosie and I are in the middle of the above photo.

Harvey then went into the 'Junior Stakes' and won!

Harvey wins 'Best In Show'

What a wonderful start to 2009, on the 3rd January Harvey and I travelled to Norton Heath in Blackmore (which for once is a nice local show). The show was 'South West Essex Canine Association (SWECA) a general Open Show.

Our breed judge was Mrs Jane Dennis (Mariglen) and awarded Harvey 'BOB', the same judge then gave him the Gundog Group.

The BIS judge is a well known terrier man, Mr Martin Phillips (Jaeva), the other group winners were: Boxer, Dalmation, Papillion, Border Collie, Kerry Blue, Beagle and Harvey.

Was delighted to be chosen as 'Best In Show', and the Border Collie went Reserve.

This win gave Harvey his last points needed fo his 'Show Certificate of Merit'
